4 Men Shot After Trying To Stop Couple's Argument In SF

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Four men were shot early Saturday after they tried to intervene in a verbal altercation between a man and a woman in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. near Mason and Market streets in the 900 block of Market Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Investigators said the victims did not know the couple but stepped in as the argument escalated. Police said the man involved in the dispute pulled out a handgun and shot all four men before fleeing the scene.

The victims were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
