NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

The region is cooling down noticeably after a scorching, triple-digit weekend that resulted in a two-day Heat Advisory. San Francisco and the coast can expect highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Oakland can expect highs in the mid-70s, the South Bay can expect highs in the mid-80s, while inland areas can expect highs in the 80s and 90s.

Evacuation warnings were issued in Monterey County after the Timber Fire in Los Padres Forest burned nearly 376 acres as of Sunday. The fire broke out around 10:45 a.m. in Loma Vista.

In other news, a motorcyclist in his mid-20s was killed Saturday night on I-80 in Contra Costa County after colliding with an SUV.
