We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, summer of officially here — and forecasters say much of the Bay Area should expect a continuation of the warming and drying trend that kicked off Sunday.

A "moderate heat risk" is expected Tuesday through Thursday across the Santa Clara Valley and East Bay interior valleys; the warmest day is expected to be Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Meantime, temperatures at the coast will be below normal for this time of year, while areas slightly inland will be slightly above normal.
