Fire Crews Rescue Trapped Person, Dogs While Extinguishing SF Blaze

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Fire crews rescued two dogs and a person who were trapped during a blaze in San Francisco late Monday night, authorities said.

Nobody was injured during the fire, which erupted around 11:16 p.m. in the 2600 block of 17th Street, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived, they rescued an adult and two dogs trapped inside the structure, authorities said.

Firefighters performed an aggressive "offensive fire attack," isolating the flames to the building where it started, and putting it out soon after, authorities said.

It's unclear what started the blaze. The San Francisco Fire Department said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
