In other news, a 19-year-old was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of causing a chain-reaction crash that killed a girl who was riding in his BMW on I-880. The man is accused of fleeing the scene of the violent crash after the girl was ejected from his car.

Plus, police in San Mateo say a registered sex offender was nabbed in a sing operation run not by authorities, but by a group of civilians that authorities described as "an organization aimed at catching child predators." Members of the group posed as an underage person and arranged to meet up with the 43-year-old man.
