Man pleads not guilty to murder in pedestrian's San Marcos death (thecoastnews.com) — A San Marcos pedestrian was killed in February, and a 39-year-old man has now pleaded not guilty to murder and related DUI charges in connection with the crash. Prosecutors say the victim, a Vista resident, was struck while standing beside his parked car on North Pacific Street, and the driver allegedly fled on foot. The suspect remains jailed without bail following his arraignment.
