• San Carlos to build $3 million toilet as voters decide new sales tax (padailypost.com) — San Carlos is moving ahead with a nearly $3 million restroom and canopy project at Harrington Park on Laurel Street, part of a $6–7 million renovation. At the same time, voters will decide November's Measure G, a proposed half‑cent sales tax increase expected to raise $6 million annually for projects like downtown revitalization. 
• Abraham Chaibi on Staying Grounded While Building at the Speed of AI (ritzherald.com) — A San Carlos biotech startup, Sapho Bio, led by CEO Abraham Chaibi, is using AI to dramatically speed up pharmaceutical sterility testing, cutting results from 14 days to about two. Chaibi describes how his team balances rapid software advances with the slower, painstaking lab validation work, and how hobbies like flying help him stay grounded amid the AI rush.

- We were at Gilroy Gardens and it was a little challenging because I was trying to get a good picture with my son, who has autism.
Getting him to look at the camera even for a second can sometimes take a lot of patience. A mother nearby noticed us and offered to take the picture… (Nextdoor Cordes South) - We have bet going to Kabul for many many years and it is always superior.
