Halloween Decorations Stolen From San Leandro Family That Hosts Annual Free Haunted House: Report

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The spirit of Halloween was dampened in a San Leandro neighborhood after someone stole two major props from an annual free haunted house, according to an ABC7 report.

The Nutting family, which has put on the annual haunted house in the San Leandro neighborhood, decorating their entire property, told ABC7 that someone stole two animatronics, along with several other decorations, over the weekend.

The family called the theft "disheartening," according to the report.

"Protecting the investment is one thing, but it's more I would just like whoever is doing things like this to be held responsible for it," the family told ABC7.

It's unclear whether the family has any leads on who stole the props or if they reported the alleged theft to the San Leandro Police Department.
