Missing At-Risk Woman Last Seen Near San Leandro: Deputies

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Police are asking for the public's help in finding an at-risk woman with a cognitive illness who was last seen in an unincorporated area of San Leandro on Monday.

Elizabeth Thompson, 68, was trying to reserve a room around noon at the Budget Inn in the 16000 block of Foothill Boulevard, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, when she walked off.

She was last seen walking southbound on Foothill Boulevard. It's unclear where she may be heading, but she is familiar with public transportation, deputies said.

Thompson is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, deputies said. Surveillance footage from the motel shows her wearing a white baseball cap, a tan coat, a red hooded sweatshirt, denim shorts and black shoes when she was last seen.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office asks that anyone who knows about Thompson's whereabouts call the agency at 510-667-7721
