SAN LEANDRO, CA — The San Leandro Police Department is warning the public of a product that recently hit Bay Area streets: Girl Scout cookies.

"Now, for safety purposes, all peanut butter, thin mints and any other Girl Scout cookies should be turned into your local police department immediately for proper evidence consumption."
