Give Blood, Get An Ugly Sweater T-Shirt From In SMC, South Bay

The center is asking Bay Area residents to give blood during the holiday season, when hospitals need donations for patients.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Stanford Blood Center is offering donors a collectible holiday-themed T-shirt throughout November as it encourages residents to help replenish blood supplies for Bay Area hospitals.

Anyone who donates at a Stanford Blood Center location or mobile blood drive between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 will receive a long-sleeve “Sweet on Saving Lives” T-shirt, according to the center.

The blood center said donations support patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment and recovery from serious injuries. It supplies blood products and testing services to multiple hospitals across the region.
