They are among the top one percent of U.S. seniors based on PSAT/NMSQT scores and now move forward for potential $2,500 scholarships and additional college-sponsored awards.

Spare The Air Alert Issued In San Ramon As Triple-Digit Heat Looms (patch.com) — San Ramon residents are under a Spare the Air alert today, with unhealthy smog levels expected and temperatures near 98 degrees. Bay Area Ganesh Festival To Bring 10,000 People Together In San Ramon (indicanews.com) — San Ramon will host a massive free Ganesh festival at City Center Bishop Ranch on Sept. 19, drawing thousands from across the Bay Area. Residents can enjoy religious ceremonies, cultural performances, kids' activities, Indian food, and local vendors, with free admission, parking, and prashad at 2700 Camino Ramon, though advance registration is required.
   

4. Suspects Sought After Attack Injures San Ramon Teen (patch.com) — A 17-year-old boy from San Ramon was hospitalized with non-life-threatening arm injuries after he and a friend were attacked outside a Pleasanton apartment complex, according to police. Investigators say two masked suspects fled after a brief struggle and believe the teens were specifically targeted, and they're asking anyone with information to contact Pleasanton police.
