San Ramon Military Banner Program Accepting Applications

SAN RAMON, CA — Applications are open for the San Ramon Military Banner Program, a program to honor local veterans and active-duty and retired members of the U.S. armed forces. Individuals or organizations are invited to sponsor a banner.

The banners will feature the honoree’s name, rank, service branch, duty status, and a photo of them in uniform. They will be displayed along San Ramon Valley Boulevard for at least 30 days through the month of November. After the period of display, the banners will be presented to the sponsors.

Honorees must be either a current resident of San Ramon, or have immediate family members residing in the area. The honoree can also be a former San Ramon resident with a demonstrated, long-term positive impact on the community, though this is subject to approval by the city. Applications must include verification of military service, proof of residency, and a photo of the honoree in uniform.

A single, double-side banner is 30” by 94” and costs $240. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be closed once all locations have been reserved.
