Arroyo Hondo Preserve, Saved to Inspire Future Generations, Turns 25 (noozhawk.com) — Arroyo Hondo Preserve on the Gaviota Coast is celebrating its 25th anniversary this Saturday with a free family-friendly event featuring nature tours, creek exploration, and kids' activities. Just a short drive from Santa Barbara, the preserve showcases restored habitats, thriving wildlife, and hands-on school programs that connect local children with the region's natural and cultural history.

Santa Barbara Chamber Players Open Season with Conductor Daniel Gee and Cellist Jakub Omsky (independent.com) — Santa Barbara music lovers can catch the Chamber Players' season opener on Saturday, October 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church on La Cumbre Road. Conductor Daniel Gee, a key figure in Santa Barbara's music scene, leads a program featuring cellist Jakub Omsky in Shostakovich's Cello Concerto, plus works by Fanny Hensel and Mozart, with free admission for those 18 and under.
