Old Virginia: A New Region
The new Old Virginia region is NOT a US state, it's currently an unrecognized region, discovered recently by M. Patrick Tierney

SANTEE, Ca. — On July 11, 2026, a newly discovered region, consisting of parts of San Diego’s East County, Imperial County, Riverside County in Southern California and parts of Yuma County in Arizona and parts of southern Nevada have been discovered by a local administrative assistant who works in the San Diego area.
“Well, I love the work I do in the City of San Diego from the Old Virginia region I live in.” Tierney said in a statement. “I discovered the new region, even though it is not recognized as a US state, but just a geographical region I call it, I manage a Facebook group titled, Digital US State of Old Virginia.”
While Old Virginia is unlikely to be admitted as a US State, it’s possible, but not likely. Admitting a US state is required by a congressional vote, according to the US Constitution. But it’s nice that I just discovered Old Virginia as a region, geographically.
