Sonoma County's favorite reggae band, Sol Horizon, headlines Goatlandia's biggest "fun-raising" celebration of the year on Saturday, August22.
SEBASTOPOL, Calif. — Goatlandia Farm Animal Sanctuary &amp; Education Center invites the community to trade the traditional black-tie gala for ﬂip-ﬂops, island colors,and good vibes at&nbsp;Reggae to the Rescue,its annual fundraising celebration, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the sanctuary's beautiful 36-acre property in Sebastopol. VIP guests are welcomed from1:00- 2:00 p.m. with General Admission at 2:00p.m.&nbsp;continuing through5:00 p.m. The event brings together live music, rescued farm animals, delicious food and drinks, and a shared commitment to creating a more compassionate world. Headlining this year's celebration is Sol Horizon, Sonoma County's beloved reggae band whose uplifting performances and loyal local following make them the perfect sound track for an unforgettable afternoon of community and compassion. Guests will enjoy tropical-inspired food from Goatlandia Kitchen, local beverages, time with the sanctuary's rescued animal residents, games, auctions, and the joyful atmosphere that has become a hallmark of&nbsp; Goatlandia's annual fundraising events.
Unlike traditional fundraising galas, Goatlandia's annual celebration is intentionally designed to be welcoming, relaxed, and accessible.
"Last year's theme was Peace, Love &amp; Goats, and the response from our community reminded us that people are looking for meaningful ways to come together,"said&nbsp;Deborah Blum,founder of Goatlandia."With&nbsp;Reggae to the&nbsp;Rescue, we're celebrating compassion, community, and second chances—for animals and for people. We wanted to create a fundraiser that feels more like a joyful party than a formal gala, where everyone can be part of making a diﬀerence while dancing, laughing, and spending time with our rescued animals. We are so grateful to our incredible community for making this work possible."


Proceeds from Reggae to the Rescue directly support Goatlandia's rescue, rehabilitation, and life long care of farm animals while helping expand the organization's education programs that inspire kindness toward animals, people, and the planet. The sanctuary has become a beloved destination for families, volunteers, and visitors from throughout Northern California and beyond seeking meaningful experiences that connect compassion with action.
Guests are encouraged to wear their brightest island attire, bring friends and family, and join Goatlandia for an afternoon where every ticket helps provide food, shelter,veterinary care, and hope for rescued farm animals.
