• Aptos' Kalina Healy, Soquel's Emma Niizawa share MVP honor (santacruzsentinel.com) — Soquel High softball standouts had a big year, with junior shortstop Emma Niizawa sharing SCCAL co-MVP honors and freshman pitcher Kiyomi Dunlap named Impact Player of the Year. Several other Knights, including Eliza Stevens and Hailey Leimas, also earned all-league recognition, highlighting Soquel’s strong run to the CCS Division II title game. 
• Omega Nu awards more than $122K in scholarships (pressbanner.com) — Several Soquel High seniors are among 27 Santa Cruz County students sharing more than $122,000 in Omega Nu scholarships for college and vocational programs. The all-volunteer group also announced its 37th annual Ducky Derby fundraiser, set for April 24, 2027, to keep supporting local students and classrooms.
