• Army awards Elroy Air $46 million to advance autonomous cargo UAS for contested logistics (militaryaerospace.com) — Elroy Air has landed a $46.1 million U.S. Army contract to advance its Chaparral autonomous cargo aircraft, with all contract work based in South San Francisco through 2029. That means more high-tech defense R&D and potential manufacturing activity happening right in town. The project focuses on heavy-lift drones that can deliver supplies in dangerous or hard-to-reach areas without pilots on board.
