• Suspect arrested after South San Francisco home intruder sexually assaults resident (kioncentralcoast.com) — Police say a woman was attacked by a home intruder on Railroad Avenue in South San Francisco last week, and a local resident has been arrested on multiple felony charges. Investigators used neighborhood surveillance footage and a search warrant to gather evidence, and they're asking anyone with additional information to contact South San Francisco police.
   

• Redwood City to evaluate mental health crisis response program amid call for second clinician (rwcpulse.com) — A regional study that included South San Francisco found that pairing mental health clinicians with police reduced involuntary psychiatric detentions by about 16.5%, or 370 fewer holds over two years. Redwood City is now evaluating whether to expand its own clinician program, weighing call volumes, budget limits, and the benefits of having trained professionals co‑respond to mental health crises with officers.
