Peltzer Farms Celebrates 30th Anniversary Of Its Famous Temecula Pumpkin Patch, Fall Festival

TEMECULA, CA — Peltzer Pumpkin Farms, the renowned Southern California pumpkin patch, will celebrate fall farm activities with an all-day anniversary party for visitors of all ages on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The celebration marks 30 years of Peltzer Pumpkin Farm and 10 years of Peltzer Winery.

Peltzer Pumpkin Farm's opening day celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 39925 Calle Contento in Temecula. Details and updates are available on the Peltzer Pumpkin Farm website and its opening-day event page.

Admission to the overall event is free, but entrance to the pumpkin farm costs $4 per person.

Children under 2 enter the farm for free with a paid adult.

Owner Charlie Peltzer, together with his wife Carrie, has invited Southern California to their Temecula farm for 30 years.

Activities include pony and train rides, mini John Deere carts, a petting farm, gem panning, face painting, carnival games, the Tractor Garden and pig races.

The anniversary party continues until 10 p.m., culminating with the lighting of Peltzer’s giant pumpkin, which is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

Live Music, Food Trucks And Fall Fun

Live music is planned at the Crush House, with Sammy Listoe performing from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Chris Merrell taking the stage from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Food Truck Alley will serve visitors from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Scheduled vendors include Woodfire Pizza Wagon, URBN Market Fusion, The Real Ghetto Kitchen, Neza Eats and Haus of Poke. Peltzer Provisions will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Limited-edition anniversary glassware will be offered with a wine purchase, while supplies last, limited to one per person.

A Full Season Of Pumpkin Patch And Fall Fun

After opening weekend, the farm will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. On weekdays, the petting farm opens at 10 a.m., while most other attractions begin at 4 p.m.

General farm admission is $2 per person Monday through Thursday and $4 per person Friday through Sunday. Children younger than 2 are admitted free with a paid adult.

Crush Club members receive free admission.

Attractions require separate tickets. Current prices listed by the farm include:

• Petting Farm: $4 per person
• Pony rides: $10 per person, with a 70-pound weight limit
• Gem panning: $7 per person
• Peltzer Express train rides: $6 per person
• John Deere carts: $5 per person, with a 70-pound weight limit
• Carnival games: $3 per game
• Face painting: $7
• Pumpkin painting: $25 per person
• Tractor Garden: Free
• Pig races: Free

A $50 Pumpkin Pass covers weekday admission and petting-farm entry for up to five people from the same household throughout the season. Additional attractions are not included.

Peltzer Winery will be open to all ages during the opening-day celebration.

During the remainder of the 2026 season, the winery will be limited to guests 21 and older after 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The pumpkin farm, Peltzer Pavilion and Farmstead will remain open to all ages during their posted hours.

As ever, dogs are not permitted at the farm.
