Overland Closes Amid Sewer Repairs: Temecula Drivers Asked To Seek Alternate Routes

Eastern Municipal Water District repair crews were at the westbound side of the intersection, addressing the issue causing heavy traffic.

TEMECULA, CA — Repair crews arrived to fix a sunken manhole, shutting down all lanes of traffic at Overland and Margarita on Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly after 3:45 p.m., workers arrived to make repairs beneath the roadway on westbound Overland Road, near Costco and Olive Garden, and Promenade Temecula Mall.

Westbound Overland was completely shut down while repairs to the sunken manhole were made, according to Calen Daniel, spokesperson for the Eastern Municipal Water District.
