• $500k+ Sinkhole Repair Is About to Disrupt a Lafayette-Walnut Creek Road Bay Area Telegraph (bayareatelegraph.com) — Drivers traveling between Walnut Creek and Lafayette on Springbrook Road face weekday daytime closures starting Thursday, October 1, while Contra Costa County repairs a sinkhole and replaces a failed culvert near Sherwood Way. Through traffic will be detoured from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and nearby residents should expect delays up to 15 minutes as crews rebuild the compromised roadway.
   

• Juvenile Hurt in Walnut Creek Pedestrian Accident on Tice Valley Blvd. (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A juvenile pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon on the 1900 block of Tice Valley Boulevard in Walnut Creek. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, and an inquiry into what caused the crash is still underway. Residents who frequent Tice Valley may notice ongoing police follow-up in the area.
