• Brentwood, Orinda educators named Contra Costa Teachers of the Year (contracostaherald.com) — Walnut Creek families can cheer Parkmead Elementary's Brittany Forrette, who was named the Walnut Creek School District's 2026–27 Teacher of the Year in a countywide celebration. The event in Concord also honored Brentwood and Orinda educators as overall Contra Costa County Teachers of the Year, who will now advance to the state competition recognizing top teachers across California.
