• Fountain and La Brea Left-Turn Arrows Finally Going Up in WeHo (wehoonline.com) — Drivers in West Hollywood will soon get long-awaited protected left-turn arrows at Fountain and La Brea, a crash-prone intersection that's frustrated residents for years. The upgrade, coordinated with Los Angeles, comes ahead of the larger Fountain Avenue Streetscape Project and follows earlier signal improvements at Santa Monica and La Brea and Fountain and Fairfax.
   

• West Hollywood Rainbow District Gets Dolled Up for Dolly Parton Day, Sept 25 (wehotimes.com) — West Hollywood's Rainbow District is gearing up for the new state-designated Dolly Parton Day on Friday, Sept. 25, with themed parties and specials along Santa Monica Boulevard. Local spots like Micky's, GYM Bar, Schmitty's and V Wine Room are planning drag tributes, movie screenings, costume photo ops and Dolly-inspired food and drink menus to celebrate her legacy.
   

• Brazilian immigrant living in West Hollywood remains in limbo after detention at ICE check-in (abc7.com) — A longtime West Hollywood resident, Brazilian immigrant Alex Pereira-Alves, remains detained at Adelanto after an ICE check-in in downtown Los Angeles led to his unexpected custody. His attorney says a prior legal withholding from deportation now leaves him stuck in limbo, as friends shoulder mounting costs while a shifting federal immigration process slowly determines his fate.
