Illegal pot shops are raided (orangecountytribune.com) — Westminster police and state cannabis regulators raided two unlicensed marijuana dispensaries Thursday on Bolsa Avenue and Beach Boulevard, seizing cash, marijuana, THC products, and an unregistered firearm. Because the city does not permit marijuana shops, these locations were operating illegally. Five people were detained and released, and detectives are asking residents with information to contact WPD.
   

2. Forgiveness considered for Councilmmber Amy Phan West (orangecountytribune.com) — Westminster’s City Council will decide Wednesday whether to lift prior censure penalties against Councilmember Amy Phan West, including bans on serving as a city representative to outside agencies. The move, requested by Mayor Chi Charlie Nguyen as a gesture of unity, follows ethics violations and a misdemeanor attempted bribery case tied to a parking incident. West is currently seeking re-election to the District 1 seat.

Special: Elton Dom: The Young Elton Experience at Rose Center Theater in Westminster (broadwayworld.com) — Westminster residents can catch a high-energy Elton John tribute show at the Rose Center Theater from October 16–18, with multiple performances across the weekend. The touring production, starring young pianist-singer Dominick Fulco and a nine-piece band, promises a 1970s-style, family-friendly spectacle focused on Elton’s early hits. Tickets are available now for all ages.
