• Pret A Manger shutters nearly all of its grab-and-go Los Angeles locations with no notice (centurycity-westwoodnews.com) — Pret A Manger has abruptly closed its Westwood Village shop on Le Conte Avenue, just two years after bringing the British grab-and-go chain to the neighborhood. With the Century City location also shuttered and no explanation offered, Westwood residents lose a nearby option for organic coffee and ready-made sandwiches while only the LAX outpost appears to remain open locally.
   

• Major Renovation: Getty Center to close for upgrades in 2027 (argonautnews.com) — Getty’s major renovation plans include buying property in Westwood to house scholars while the Getty Center closes from March 2027 to spring 2028 for extensive upgrades. Visitors will be redirected to expanded programs at the Getty Villa and a new Sepulveda Boulevard space as the museum modernizes galleries, transit access, and sustainability systems ahead of the 2028 Olympics.
