• 2 Men Drowned in Same Colorado Reservoir 8 Days Apart in 'Heartbreaking and Traumatic' Incidents (people.com) — An Arvada man, 67-year-old Paul Scanlon, died after his kayak flipped in high winds at Eleven Mile Reservoir, just eight days before another man drowned there in a separate incident. Authorities say an ill-fitting life jacket, alcohol, and rough weather played roles in the tragedies, and they're urging Coloradans to wear proper flotation, stay sober, and get off the water when conditions turn dangerous.
