• Fitch Affirms Arvada, CO IDR and Sales Tax Rev Bonds at 'AAA'; Outlook Stable (fitchratings.com) — Arvada's city government just received a reaffirmed AAA credit rating from Fitch, signaling very strong finances and low long‑term debt risk for local taxpayers. The report highlights robust reserves, solid sales tax growth, and a relatively affluent, educated population, all of which help keep borrowing costs low for future city projects and infrastructure investments.

• Arvada City Council recommends residency restrictions for sex offenders (arvadapress.com) — Arvada City Council is moving toward an ordinance that would bar most registered sex offenders from living within 500 feet of schools, playgrounds, pools, daycares, childcare facilities, and libraries, with 1,000‑foot buffers for violent offenders that also include parks and trails. The proposal, which would apply only to new residents after a future effective date, now heads to staff for drafting before a formal council vote.
