• Avon Town Council passes emergency ordinance aimed at controversial parking fees (vaildaily.com) — Avon’s Town Council has passed an emergency ordinance to rein in confusing automated parking fees on private lots, after residents reported surprise citations weeks after parking near businesses. The town will now require clear maximum-fee signage and is weighing stricter steps, including possibly banning automated systems and taxing parking revenue, with more options coming July 28.
