1. Boulder County Releases Transportation Master Plan Report on Progress (bouldercounty.gov) — Boulder County has released a new progress report on its 2020 Transportation Master Plan, outlining how local roads, transit, bike projects and safety efforts are evolving across the county, including Boulder. 2. Man still missing as Boulder County search efforts end (dailycamera.com) — Boulder County officials have suspended daily search operations for missing 42-year-old Andrew Lord around Gross Reservoir and Winiger Ridge, though Denver police still list him as a missing person. Multiple Boulder-area rescue teams, including Boulder Emergency Squad and Boulder Fire-Rescue, used sonar, dive teams, and dogs, and authorities say they'll act on any new leads and may resume targeted water searches.

3. Boulder's new land-use plan could make room for up to 40% more housing (boulderreportinglab.org) — Boulder's newly approved Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan could allow 35%–40% more housing, mostly within city limits, by encouraging "gentle infill" like duplexes and triplexes across nearly all neighborhoods. The plan, shaped by extensive public input, also sets rules for housing in industrial areas and keeps surrounding county land lower-density unless annexed into the city.

4. Xcel expected to meet Boulder's 2027 emissions target, but 2030 outlook remains uncertain (boulderreportinglab.org) — Boulder is on track for Xcel Energy to meet the city's 2027 emissions target, but whether longer-term 2030 climate goals will be hit remains uncertain. City staff warn that project delays and resource gaps could jeopardize future benchmarks, even as Xcel projects steep statewide emissions cuts. Boulder could exit its franchise in 2028 if requirements aren't met.
