• 9 Colorado hospitals at risk of closing due to Medicaid cuts (gazette.com) — Brighton’s Platte Valley Medical Center is among nine Colorado hospitals flagged as at risk of cutting services or closing under massive federal Medicaid reductions, according to a new report. While several systems insist closure isn’t imminent, state hospital leaders warn the law’s projected $10.4 billion funding loss by 2032 could strain safety-net and rural facilities and push thousands of Coloradans off coverage.
