'Shakespeare In The Parking Lot' Performs Free Shows This Fall (milehighonthecheap.com) — Broomfield residents can catch a free, abridged performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream when the traveling "Shakespeare in the Parking Lot" production stops at Broomfield Library on September 26 at noon. The pickup-truck-based show also visits Westminster, Denver and Erie, with all performances free and bring-your-own-chair friendly for a casual, family-oriented theater experience.

A legacy of doubt: Former CBI forensic scientist who mishandled DNA sentenced to 10 years in prison (kkco11news.com) — Broomfield cases are among dozens statewide potentially affected by former CBI forensic scientist Yvonne "Missy" Woods, who was sentenced in Jefferson County to 10 years in prison for manipulating DNA evidence. Her misconduct triggered reviews of more than a thousand cases, overturned at least one Boulder murder conviction, and forced CBI to spend millions clearing a massive testing backlog.
