• Victim drives suspect from Castle Rock to Colorado Springs in alleged kidnapping situation (krdo.com) — Colorado Springs police are investigating an alleged kidnapping after a man leaving work in Castle Rock was forced to drive a suspect to an area near Audubon Elementary on East Van Buren Street. The victim wasn't hurt, but officers couldn't find the suspect, and Castle Rock police believe they may have identified a person of interest as the case continues.

• Lawsuit filed against Colorado Springs Dollar Tree following sexual assault arrest (krdo.com) — A lawsuit has been filed against a Colorado Springs Dollar Tree after a shopper and her young child were allegedly sexually assaulted in the store, with plaintiffs claiming the chain's business model is unsafe. Dollar Tree says customer and employee safety is a top priority and that it cooperates fully with law enforcement while continually reviewing its security policies and procedures.
