City leaders and Denver Health are developing a new "Denver Dynamic Response Model" to better match resources to emergencies and improve response times over the coming year.

'This is a great solution for now' — inside Colorado's new program to help teachers buy homes (9news.com) — Denver educators now have access to a new statewide CHFA "Schools To Home" program that combines a fixed-rate first mortgage with substantial down payment assistance, though it must eventually be repaid with shared appreciation. Local union leaders say it could help teachers stay in Denver despite soaring home prices above $574,000, but stress it's only a stopgap until salaries better match housing costs.

Judge to decide whether Children's Hospital is defying court order on gender-affirming care (9news.com) — A Denver judge is weighing whether Children's Hospital Colorado is defying a state Supreme Court order to resume gender-affirming care for minors, after families asked for steep daily contempt fines. The hospital says it reinstated the service but individual doctors refuse to provide it, citing possible federal investigations into billing for puberty blockers.
