📰 News we're reading
• Eagle County is rewriting its land use code. Here's what that means for you (aspentimes.com) — Eagle County is overhauling its land use regulations, changes that will directly affect how new development and redevelopment happen in Edwards and other unincorporated areas. Officials aim to simplify the code, better match actual neighborhood conditions, and fold in clear affordable housing requirements and incentives. A new zoning map and final code are expected by mid-July, and residents are encouraged to weigh in now.

• Western Colorado Roundabout Striping (codot.gov) — Expect new striping and more visible markings at roundabouts on I-70 and US 6 near Edwards as part of a broader Western Colorado safety project running April through June 2026. CDOT will grind in recessed grooves and add epoxy and thermoplastic markings at roundabouts from Grand Junction through Eagle County, with traffic impacts and schedules still to be announced.
