• Erie considers lodging tax ahead of Sundance Film Festival (denver7.com) — Erie officials are weighing a new lodging tax and first-ever short‑term rental rules that could appear on this November’s ballot, aiming to start collections by January 2027 as Sundance visitors arrive in Boulder County. The tax would fall on hotel and short‑term rental guests, with revenue earmarked for community improvements, while leaders seek resident feedback and try to balance tourism income with housing affordability.

• Despite dry winter, Boulder Reservoir levels expected to remain normal this summer (boulderreportinglab.org) — Erie’s water supply from Boulder Reservoir is expected to remain stable this summer despite a very dry winter, thanks to upstream storage in the Colorado‑Big Thompson system.
