• Advocates retain former safehouse property, launch new housing initiative (leadvilleherald.com) — Advocates of Lake County have reversed course and will keep their former safehouse in Leadville, transforming it into Bridge House, a low-barrier transitional housing site. The Alder Street property will host Bridge offices and support residents with income-based rent that feeds back into services. Emergency shelter for survivors will continue through hotels and rentals, while ALC expands long-term, trauma‑informed support across Leadville and Lake County.
