• As more people use scooters, off-highway vehicles on public roads, Douglas County seeks new rules for riders (coloradosun.com) — Douglas County is moving toward stricter rules for scooters and off-highway vehicles, aiming to keep powerful electric dirt bikes off public roads and trails. A Lone Tree emergency doctor at Sky Ridge says he’s seeing more serious fractures and brain injuries from these heavier, faster machines, especially among kids. Residents can still weigh in before commissioners take a final vote June 23.
