Officials are reconsidering 2024 code revisions, including design standards tied to the controversial Red Hotel, as they seek ways to attract investment, help homeowners, and shore up future town revenues without sacrificing the town’s historic character.

3. Jefferson County judge hands down probationary sentence to driver who hit, killed cyclist (denver7.com) — A Jefferson County judge has sentenced the driver involved in last year’s fatal bicycle crash in Morrison to a year of supervised probation, community service, and a license suspension instead of jail time. Family and friends of cyclist Gerald Missel packed the courtroom, sharing emotional stories and calling for greater awareness of the consequences of reckless driving on local roads.

Zeds Dead Reveals Lineup for Deadrocks XII (edmtunes.com) — Zeds Dead is bringing its Deadrocks XII takeover back to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison on July 2 and 3, with stacked support lineups and two-hour headlining sets each night. Fans can also hit a Denver Backyard Jamboree on July 4 and a three-day merch pop-up, but Morrison remains the centerpiece of this annual Colorado pilgrimage.
