1. Night of Champions celebrates another historic year at Niwot High School (lhvc.com) — Niwot High School just wrapped up another standout year, celebrating five team state titles, major scholarship totals, and dozens of decorated student‑athletes at its June 7 Night of Champions. Community members packed the auditorium to honor current stars, Hall of Fame inductees, and outgoing athletic director Joe Brown, whose seven-year tenure helped produce 23 team state championships and rising student participation.
   

2. LID revenues continue to rise (lhvc.com) — Niwot’s 1% LID sales tax is up nearly 29% for 2026, boosting reserves and funding key projects like tree carving restorations, First Friday Art Walks, and Rock & Rails concerts. The LID also backed plans for nonprofit networking events and is pushing for a CO 119 underpass into Niwot, though funding remains an uphill battle.
   

3. Longmont-to-DIA buses would run hourly through Niwot, Lafayette Park-n-Rides to E-470 (dailycamera.com) — Niwot residents could soon catch an hourly SkyRide bus from the local Park‑n‑Ride straight to Denver International Airport, if RTD approves a new Longmont‑to‑DIA route in late July. The grant‑funded service, planned to start in September, responds to the loss of a private shuttle and is part of a broader package of RTD service changes.
   

4. IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder in Boulder County on Saturday, June 13, 2026 (bouldercounty.gov) — IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder will bring major bike-course closures and delays on Saturday, June 13, including restrictions on 63rd Street, 51st/55th, and key stretches connecting to Niwot Road. Niwot-area residents will retain local access but are urged to avoid crossing the course, expect significant delays, and use alternate routes like CO 119, US 36 southbound, and CO 66 to get around.
