• Small Place Crash Sparks Minor Grass Fire Near South Fork, Colorado (unofficialnetworks.com) — A small plane crashed near the Shoshone Trail just outside South Fork on Tuesday, briefly igniting a grass and weed fire that firefighters quickly contained despite Red Flag conditions. The single‑engine aircraft had taken off from a nearby private airstrip and attempted an emergency landing at Chapman Field after engine trouble. Both occupants escaped with minor injuries, and federal investigators will review the incident.
