• Sales-tax revenue in Steamboat drops, despite increases in construction, miscellaneous retail (steamboatpilot.com) — Sales-tax collections in Steamboat Springs fell 2.59% in February compared to last year, with lodging, restaurants, and marijuana sales seeing notable drops. Construction and miscellaneous retail helped cushion the decline, thanks partly to warm weather and delivery sales. City finance staff expect March to be down as well but remain cautiously optimistic heading into the summer tourism season.
