Community Rallies To Support CT Musician In Critical Condition After Crash
According to the fundraiser, the CT-based musician is currently in critical condition in the ICU following a crash and multiple surgeries.
A fundraiser has been launched to support a Connecticut-based musician who is in critical condition following a crash late last month.
According to the GoFundMe page, Eran Troy Danner and a friend set out to enjoy "a perfect summer day for a motorcycle ride through Millerton, N.Y.," on June 29 when they were hit head-on by an oncoming car.
"His buddy's relief was instantaneous, and our hearts ache deeply for his family and their great loss," Dana Fiebig, Danner's sister and the organizer of the fundraiser, wrote in the GoFundMe's description.

According to Fiebig, her brother was immediately taken from one hospital to another, then flown hours later to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., where he had two separate surgeries.
"His third surgery was scheduled for the next morning, however his medical team needed to first stabilize him and give him yet another in a series of blood transfusions," Fiebig wrote in the description. "As I write this, he is currently enduring his third surgery in less than 48 hours."

Fiebig said Danner is in critical condition in the ICU as of July 1.
"The surgeons are working tirelessly," Fiebig wrote. "He is broken in so many places that the medical team must address his surgeries and treatments one at a time with several more surgeries still ahead of him. The doctors expect him to be in the ICU for an extended period of time to handle these reconstructive procedures."
Fiebig also noted doctors "are hopeful that sometime in the future he may be able to play again and that's our prayer."
According to Fiebig, Danner will be separated from his son, "the absolute joy and love of his life," during his long hospital stay and his family will be traveling to the medical center, which is about an hour and a half away from their home, "as near to every day as we can to be by his side."
"Beyond our prayers, the most impactful way we can help him right now is financially," Fiebig wrote. "I am reaching out to all to help keep a roof over his head, keep his bills current and keep his household going. My goal is to ensure that he and his son have a stable place to be, and a home to come back to."
As of Tuesday evening, the GoFundMe page has raised nearly $90,000 toward a $100,000 goal after receiving nearly 750 donations.
"If you are able to give and support him in this critical time, I thank you now, in advance, from the bottom of my heart," Fiebig wrote. "Every single dollar will go toward managing his household expenses and unknown expenses that will be incurred in the months ahead."
According to his website, Danner is a blues musician based in Connecticut who has been a notable figure in the local blues scene since he started performing in 1998.
