Connecticut State Police Respond To Nearly 4,000 Calls During Recent Nor'easter

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut State Police responded to 3,941 calls for service during a four-day period as a September nor'easter affected the state, according to statistics released by the agency Tuesday.

The figures cover the period from midnight Friday, Sept. 25, through 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28.

State police reported 378 traffic crashes during the period, including three crashes classified as involving serious injuries.

Troopers also made 10 arrests for driving under the influence and conducted 710 traffic services and 274 traffic stops.

The Connecticut State Police statistics provide a snapshot of the agency's activity during the storm period, which included increased travel and hazardous conditions associated with the nor'easter.
