ICE Would Be Prohibited From These Places In CT Under New Proposal: Reports
A bill is pending in the state legislature which if approved would limit where ICE agents can go.
A proposal in the state's legislature would prohibit ICE agents, who don't possess a warrant, from entering school buildings, college campuses, medical facilities, playgrounds, church grounds, recreation centers, and more, according to Hearst CT.
The bill in part was debated at a public hearing on Monday. Additionally, another proposal would allow residents to sue the federal government if ICE agents injure or kill someone.
Immigrant advocacy groups testified Monday supporting the bills, the Connecticut Mirror reported.
