Lamont Proposes Suspending Gas Tax: Reports

Gov. Ned Lamont is proposing a brief suspension of the state's gas tax, which would save residents 25 cents a gallon.

Suspending the gas tax for one month could save a family of two about $20, according to WFSB 3 TV.

Any suspension of the gas tax would require approval by the state's legislature.

Suspending the gas tax would likely be for one month, as gas prices have ballooned by 50 cents a gallon recently due to the war in Iran, the Connecticut Mirror reported.
