More Wintry Weather In The Forecast For CT: Here's When, What To Know

We knew the 50 degree temperatures wouldn't last. Some major weather changes are on the way for Connecticut.

Many towns across Connecticut exceeded 50 degrees on Saturday and it finally felt like spring is just around the corner.

Well about that, it will not last. Some very light snow is forecast Sunday, possibly adding up to an inch in some spots, but the high temperatures will only be in the mid 30s.

Monday will be downright cold and on Tuesday we may see some snow, wintry mix and plain rain.

"This upcoming week will be off to a bitterly cold start," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Monday morning, low temperatures will drop into the single digits for some and with a bit of a breeze in place, we’re talking about a feel between -5 and 5 to start the day. With that in mind, Monday is a *First Alert Weather Day* for wind chills in the morning that will be quite the change from this weekend. The good news is... there will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day."

"Tuesday starts dry and will be a bit warmer, but is another *First Alert Weather Day* for a disturbance that arrives in the afternoon. What initially begins as snow showers will flip over to a wintry mix and eventually rain as milder air pushes in. That could mean some slick conditions for the evening commute," added WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
