“We’ll start the day with some sunshine but become overcast with a rising chance for showers (downpours too) toward the evening commute (can’t rule out a rumble of thunder tonight),” WFSB said. “At the same time, in advance of a cold front, the wind becomes breezy out of the south. Showers, downpours, and a passing storm will be possible tonight and last into tomorrow with the arrival and passage of the front.”

WTNH meteorologists anticipate today will become cloudier as the day progresses, followed by showers, then rain in the afternoon and evening. WTNH also predicts storms are possible overnight.

WTNH reports that radar shows a line of heavy downpours, with thunderstorms possible, coming through from west to east tonight. The precipitation could change to snow on Thursday, with “a coating in some areas,” WTNH said.
