• Avon Honored For Making Town Elderly-Friendly (patch.com) — Avon has been honored by the Connecticut Age Well Collaborative for its work to make the town more supportive of older residents, including creating a detailed local resource guide. The guide will highlight services for Avon residents and address ageism, and will be shared on the town's website and Facebook page once finished. Avon will be formally recognized at AgeWell Fest on Sept. 15.
