• Hungry to win, Simsbury rolls past Watertown, 48-13 (collinsvillepress.com) — Simsbury's football team rolled past Watertown 48-13, setting up a renewed Route 44 Bowl rivalry matchup next Friday against the co-op Avon/St. Paul squad that many local fans follow closely. The win was also a milestone for coach Jim Caouette, who last notched a head-coaching victory while leading Avon from 2013 to 2015, including a past Route 44 Bowl win over Simsbury.
